FractureCode Corporation to present Technology Paper to WHO.

Issue date: 08.03.07

FractureCode Corporation is pleased to announce that it will be presenting a technology paper at the WHO IMPACT First Anti-counterfeiting Technologies Meeting in Prague on 13 March 2007. The presentation will focus on the benefits and applicability of the FractureCode technology for stakeholders in the Medical and Pharmaceutical markets.

The World Health Organization’s IMPACT (International Medical Products Anti Counterfeiting Taskforce) has organised the meeting to discuss technologies that could be used to help deter and/or detect counterfeit medicines, with the aim of discussing in detail two issues that lend themselves to standardization:

• The use of a combination of serialization, communication and database-querying to authenticate products in the distribution chain.

• The development of one global coding system for medical products (referring to the actual code and not to its representation in figures, bar codes, RFIDs etc.).

The event is co-located with Reconnaissance International’s 3rd Global Forum on Pharmaceutical AntiCounterfeiting and its AntiCounterfeiting Technologies Exhibition.
