Latest FractureCode innovation receives PISEC seal of approval

Issue date: 17.12.07

A new coding solution from track & trace solutions provider FractureCode Corporation has been awarded Best Anti-Forgery Technology Development at the PISEC Awards, part of the 8th Global Product and Image Security Convention held in November 2007.

This is the second year running that FractureCode has been recognized by PISEC, having won Best Practice in Product and Brand Protection in 2006 for its cross-platform track & trace solution.

The new technology, FC V, is a truly novel approach to preventing fraud that protects information in documents and products from alteration by including a tamper evident unique signifier at the individual item level.  FractureCode is keeping the full details of FC V under wraps until its official launch in 2008, but says that it offers a groundbreaking opportunity for brands to fight counterfeiters, especially in product diversion.

“We believe we have made a big step forward in the use of FractureCode technology by adding significant functionality to our authentication and Track and Trace solution” comments Jacob Götzsche, Managing Director of FractureCode.  “We are determined to keep one step ahead of counterfeiters and diverters, but more importantly strive to provide brand owners with the tools to do the same in order to protect consumers and revenues, and FC V provides the way forward to meeting both of these goals.”

The PISEC judges agree, with Chairman Jeremy Plimmer commenting, “"The Judges took into account how each technology submitted to the panel could be applied in an innovative manner to enhance security. They discussed the merits of each contribution and then judged the outcome on what they felt showed novelty, security, innovation and most of all freshness of purpose. In its category, I'm pleased to say FC V was considered worthy of note on all points."
